New scheme to recognise NHS heroes launched by Department of Health

A cup of tea. A hand to hold. A shoulder to lean on. A few words of comfort. These are just a few of the things that thousands of NHS heroes provide every day to make sure that each and every patient receives the very best care.

Who’s your NHS Hero? Who do you know who always goes the extra mile to provide exceptional care?

Show them how much you appreciate them with a nomination as your NHS Hero 2012. Completing and returning the nominations form attached or visiting www.nhsheroes.comwill only take a few minutes of your time, but the pride of being nominated will stay with your hero forever.  The scheme will run until mid-September 2012.

Remember, you don’t need to save lives to be a hero.
