Introducing the Trust

Welcome to City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust

City Hospitals Sunderland is an Acute Trust providing a wide range of hospital services such as A&E, surgical and medical specialties, therapy services, maternity and paediatric care. We pride ourselves on the quality and range of care provided to the patients of Sunderland and the wider North East. Our vision is Excellence in Health, Putting People First and we aim to put our patients’ right to choice, respect and dignity at the heart of their treatment here.

We ensure our clinical practice remains at the forefront of medicine, seek to adopt innovative ways of working and deliver a strong performance culture which results in the Trust providing our local communities with some of the highest quality healthcare in England.
